Dear Mark,

As always, you are my rock. You have always stood beside me, have always believed in me, have always put me first. You truly are the most amazing husband and friend.

My first surgery was 2 weeks after our engagement, 6 weeks before our wedding. You took care of me then. You waited patiently for me to come out, pacing the hospital floors, for 4 hours because the doctor expected I would only be in the OR for 45 minutes.

Then, after only two weeks of marital bliss, I started the lovely Lupron shots. I bet you never thought you'd be married to a menopausal 30 year old! You put up with my extreme mood swings, hot flashes, and night sweats. You continued to tell me I was the most beautiful and sexy woman in the world, even after I gained 20 pounds from the Aygestyn.

Again, you are by my side, supporting me, taking care of me, ready to be my very own nurse. You reassure me when I freak out, take care of the house and my son as if he was your own. When I want to run away, you reassure me that everything is going to be ok, and that you will be here for me no matter what happens.......whether this is difficult or easy, whether I'm happy or sad, no matter what happens, you will always love me, lust for me, and be my best friend in the whole world. You recently told me you wished you could take my place so I wouldn't have to do this.......and I do believe you would if you could.

I truly do not deserve you. You are an amazing, generous and compassionate man and I love you with all my heart. I do not know what I would do in this life without you.
